There comes a time in a season that has been so thoroughly derailed as Liverpool’s where the serious questions have to be asked.
Virgil van Dijk certainly didn’t shy away from the stronger stuff, digging deep into the barrel to question the desire of his fellow teammates after a gutless display at Goodison Park.
The Dutch international admitted that everyone involved would be forced to ‘look in the mirror’ and ask themselves if they gave everything against Everton and whether they truly want the Premier League title.
Based on that performance, we’d have to imagine most of the players will be ticking ‘No’ both times.

What happened to focusing on one game at a time and not focusing on four titles in their season. We have lost games to 2 of our biggest rivals and our forwards look like they would rather be on a beach in Spain or Brazil.
As much as we could blame the ref, in the end our fate has been in our own hands and we have grasped it like a limp jellyfish. We do not deserve anything but what we have and I feel for JNK.
Drop the so called “stars” and play the hungry and very talented young lads for the rest of the season. Jayden Danns would have gobbled up some of the chances given to Nunez and Salah last night.
