Liverpool are chasing Yan Diomande as their marquee summer signing, but may be priced out of a deal as RB Leipzig continue to increase his transfer fee. RB Leipzig asking for increased transfer fee to sell Yan Diomande to PSG or Liverpool Ben Jacobs reports that RB Leipzig asking price for Diomande has increased amid the battle between Liverpool and PSG.
“Until they get an answer as to whether he’s going to sign a new deal, Leipzig’s intention is to keep the price as high as possible in order to buy time and stall any potential deal. “As soon as Diomande says he’s either staying or going, Leipzig will either settle his future and there’ll be no move this summer or, at the opposite extreme, they’ll realise the player wants to leave and the overall package will likely come down a little.” Discussing PSG’s interest, Jacobs added: “PSG also like Diomande and, were he to join the French side, there is a scenario in which Bradley Barcola becomes available.
“Barcola is also very high on Liverpool’s shortlist, but Diomande remains their number one target. For now, it’s Liverpool versus PSG in the race for Diomande.” Michael first started supporting Liverpool after Istanbul in 2006.
