Nobody knew whether Tsimikas or Robertson would be used as Slot’s second choice, but after the Scotsman chose to stay put, this meant that the Greek Scouser had to find himself a new home. This is why it feels like Tsimikas could end up making his way back into Slot’s plans upon his return, especially if this defensive form is kept up.

Andy Robertson’s Liverpool contract still hasn’t been extended by the clubRobertson and Ibrahima Konate’s contracts are both set to expire at the end of the 2025-26 season. In Tsimikas’ case, however, that would be the perfect scenario, especially if he wants to return to Liverpool upon the expiry of his loan deal.
