Slot is rightly under pressure to turn things around and if he cannot, then he is likely to pay with his job sooner rather than later.Clearly, the Dutchman has credit in the bank after a stunning league title win last season, but that goodwill is quickly eroding for the Anfield faithful. Those outside of the club may see things slightly differently, though, and as a Manchester United legend, Gary Neville could not be further removed from Liverpool. As a result, perhaps it is no surprise to hear the former full-back come out in passionate defence of Slot on Sunday.Photo by Robbie Jay Barratt – AMA/Getty ImagesTalk of Arne Slot being sacked is ‘nonsense’ – Gary NevilleAs a former United captain of some repute, Neville has always had a complicated relationship with Liverpool supporters. However, he clearly has a lot of respect for the football club, and his views on it are occasionally worth hearing.READ MORE: Liverpool could try one last roll of the dice behind the scenes instead of sacking Arne Slot Should Liverpool sack Arne Slot?

He’s got real class.“It’s a really challenging moment for him, he’s going to come under pressure, people are going to start saying those fatal words, ‘is he in trouble?’.
