I just have to keep working and contributing with goals and assists.”Analysis: Conceicao still one to watch for LiverpoolAlthough Conceicao appears to be happy at Juventus, his comments were played with a fairly straight bat as well. The Portugal international could still leave over the summer if Liverpool come in strong for him, and he would certainly tick several boxes for the Reds.
What is your all-time favourite Mohamed Salah moment at Liverpool? ⚽ Credit: Liverpool FC/Getty Images No doubt considerably cheaper than other options such as Michael Olise or Yan Diomande, he has a high ceiling and potentially world-class attributes which could be honed at Anfield. Portugal manager Roberto Martinez has called Conceicao ‘incredible‘ and he has the look of a player who is yet to hit his top level. The biggest question, however, is obviously regarding how Liverpool are looking to set up their attack next season. On the evidence of this term, they do not necessarily need a straight, like for like replacement for Salah, which is what Conceicao would effectively be.However, having a left-footed attacking option is always a good idea, and with Olise clearly off the market, there is a strong argument that Conceicao could be seen as ‘the best of the rest.’ Despite his suggestions, we’d still keep an eye on this over the summer window.
