A defeat against Man City won’t ever be decisive, but it’s the manner of it that is a huge problem.“It’s very easy to lose rhythm and belief, but it’s very hard to get that back.“This type of run isn’t unheard of, it happened to Man City last season, but you do have to say the manager has to find a way to turn things around.“If they can put together two or three wins, that lifts the whole mood and all of a sudden things start going right again, it is just as simple as that.“But from the manager’s point of view, yes questions will be asked of him, especially if the run continues, but I don’t think there’s any concern about his future at Liverpool.”This comes after Brown told Football Insider on 20 October that Liverpool are concerned about Slot as a result of their recent poor form.Liverpool make Ibrahima Konate exit plan after Man City showFollowing the defeat against Man City, Slot is not the only one at Liverpool receiving plenty of backlash, as Liverpool fans called for Ibrahima Konate to be sold. The France international has been subject to speculation about his future, with less than a year remaining on his contract and constant links with a move to Real Madrid.Football Insider revealed on 5 October that Liverpool are still in talks with Konate over a new deal, but the lack of progress has led to concerns about his future.Credit: ImagoAs a result, Brown told Football Insider that Liverpool are preparing to lose Konate, but are not concerned about his future and feel they can upgrade on him. This comes amid links with the likes of Marc Guehi and Ezri Konsa, with both England internationals tipped to step into Slot’s back line with relative ease. For more Liverpool and exclusive news, follow us on Facebook or join our brand new WhatsApp Channel for instant updates to be sent straight to your phone.
