There are several things on our Christmas wish list this year… Santa is on his way, and as Liverpool fans there will be no shortage of what we wish to see under the tree on the big day. It could be the case that the club put him on ice for the rest of the season, as he was still yet to return to full fitness before the injury, but all we can wish for is a quick recovery.

Not quite the Christmas wish we wanted for Isak, but Liverpool have to make the best of it – whatever that looks like… Invest in the forward line in January Liverpool’s priority in the winter may have been the defence, but Isak’s injury – plus also Salah’s absence in January – means the club have to act. This season still has life left in it, and Liverpool need to take a front-foot approach.

Mo Salah returns and we move on from the drama There is so much left for Mo Salah to offer Liverpool, and we want to see him back after his time at the Africa Cup of Nations and with the drama firmly behind us. He has been our best player this season by some distance, and he is deserving of one that gets Anfield bouncing.
