Liverpool will be handed an almost immediate test of its title credentials next season as Arne Slot’s side looks to defend its Premier League crown.
The Reds have been handed their full fixture list for the 2025/26 Premier League season, with the campaign getting underway at Anfield against Bournemouth on August 15.
That of course means one of Liverpool’s expected new signings, Milos Kerkez, will immediately be coming up against his former teammates, while Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz will also be aiming to make their competitive debuts, with the latter set to complete his move from Bayer Leverkusen this week.

With all of next season’s league fixtures having now been released, Liverpool fans will no doubt have earmarked some key dates for their diaries that could play a pivotal role in the title race.
The Reds won’t have to wait long for the first major test of their title defense, with Arsenal heading to Anfield on August 30 in a game that could be an early indication of what part both sides will play in the race for next season’s crown.
Before that game though, Mikel Arteta’s side will have to travel to Old Trafford for their opening game of the season on August 17, which will also give an early sight of what sort of shape Ruben Amorim’s side is in after a disastrous 2024/25 season.
And Manchester City could face an early test of its own title credentials on August 23 as Tottenham visits the Etihad - a game which Pep Guardiola’s side has notoriously found difficult over the years.

The first Manchester derby of the season is on September 13, with City hosting United first up.
September 20 looks set to be a pivotal day, with Liverpool hosting Everton in the first Merseyside derby of the season, while Arsenal hosts City - expect both of those fixtures to be moved for TV though.
October gets underway with a couple of tricky games for Liverpool, starting with a trip to Chelsea on October 4 before United comes to town on October 18.
City and Liverpool go head to head for the first time in the season on November 8, with the Reds making the trip to Manchester, while the first North London derby of the campaign is scheduled to kick off on November 22 at the Emirates Stadium, just a week before Arsenal heads to Chelsea in what is a couple of difficult weeks for the Gunners.
January 7 sees Liverpool heading to Arsenal, while City makes the short journey to Old Trafford not long after on January 17.

The Reds then host City on February 7, just a couple of weeks before Arsenal heads to Tottenham, with Chelsea making its way to the Emirates seven days later in a tricky couple of fixtures for the Gunners.
It’s City’s turn to head to Chelsea on April 11, before another pivotal day in the title race a week later, with Liverpool heading to Everton’s new stadium for the first time as City hosts Arsenal.
We’re then into the final month of the season, with Liverpool facing a trip to United on May 2, by which time the Reds will hope that they’ve either already defended their title, or are well on the way to doing so.
Should it go down to the final day on May 24 though, Liverpool and City are both at home to Brentford and Aston Villa respectively, while Arsenal heads to Crystal Palace.
