Former Liverpool forward Liam Millar made his World Cup debut for Canada last night, 18 months after leaving Anfield.

The 23-year-old perhaps won’t be a name familiar to all that many Liverpool fans.

Millar is just one of 16 former Liverpool players gracing the World Cup in Qatar (15 after Sadio Mane pulled out).

Millar bagged 10 goals in 45 games last season, although he’s found the net just once in 26 appearances this time around.

Dejan Lovren rounds off the familiar faces we’ve seen in action this week.

We could see four more players of Liverpool teams past on day five of the tournament today.

Meanwhile in the same group, Raheem Sterling was the only former – or current- Liverpool man to get a goal in Qatar.
