Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll know that, in January, Jurgen Klopp announced that he would be leaving Liverpool at the end of the 2023/24 season.
This came as a shock to many and left question marks as to who will take over the Reds for the 2024/25 term.
Many names were circulated such as Pep Ljinders, Xabi Alonso and even Gary O’Neil
In fact, the latter was even interviewed for the role as we exclusively revealed on Tuesday.
However, it now seems that Arne Slot will be the man to take over the reigns as Liverpool have managed to reach an agreement so acquire the Netherlands managers services for the following campaign.
Although the appointment of Slot may seem underwhelming to some, the 45-year-old could be the start of a new era at the club.
Whilst in charge of current team, Feyenoord, Slot managed to rebirth a fallen giant from Netherlands football and win the clubs’ first Eredivisie title since 1999.
Not only this but he managed to re-gain the faith of the fans who had been let down by the likes of Jaap Stam and Dick Advocaat prior to Slot’s appointment.
And, whilst with Feyenoord, he has managed to improve the performance of many of the players under his watch.
Players such as Santiago Gimenez, Calvin Stengs and Lutsharel Geertruida all managed to improve tenfold under Slot and fulfil their abilities.
So, with this in mind, here are three players from Liverpool who could benefit from the 45-year-olds appointment this summer.
