This weekend’s clash between Brighton and Liverpool is more than just another league game.

The Japan international has missed the last four games with heel and back problems but could now return.

On the Liverpool side, head coach Arne Slot did not report any new injury concerns in his pre-match press conference.

However, when asked if Trent Alexander-Arnold—who is departing this summer—would feature, he said, “It was too early to say what the team would be.”
