Harvey Elliott has endured a challenging season under Arne Slot’s new tenure, raising fresh doubts about the 22-year-old’s long-term future at Liverpool.

After falling down the pecking order, the midfielder has found regular minutes hard to come by, often limited to substitute appearances or cup outings.

His lack of involvement has been one of the more surprising aspects of the campaign, considering his promise in previous seasons.

Last weekend, Elliott was finally handed his first Premier League start of the season in the Reds’ 3-1 defeat to Chelsea, a golden opportunity to stake his claim.

However, like several other with uncertain futures, he struggled to take his chance, subsequently leading to more questions being left unanswered over his role at Anfield moving forward.

With the midfielder seemingly not in Arne Slot’s plans, we will be discussing five clubs that could prize Harvey Elliott away from Liverpool, this summer.

Fellow Premier League side, Wolves, are keeping an eye on Harvey Elliott’s future beyond this season.

It has been reported in recent days, that the Midlands club are one of many interested in his talents and may look to make an enquiry, if they are given the green light that Elliott will be looking for minutes elsewhere.

During his first few months in charge, Vitor Pereira has steadied the ship at Molineux, seeing them climb comfortably safe of the relegation threat they were under with Gary O’Neil earlier in the campaign.

Wolves look increasingly likely to lose star man Matheus Cunha this summer, with Manchester United most concrete in negotiations, and are scouring the market for potential replacements and Harvey Elliott among those.

Although, Liverpool would demand a fee in excess of £40million to entertain any sale and it remains unclear whether Wolves would entertain a move at that price.

BOURNEMOUTHShuttershock.

Bournemouth hold a keen interest in a number of Liverpool players, one of which is Harvey Elliott.

The Cherries view the 21-year-old as creative solution for their midfield, according to Lewis Steele of the Daily Mail, believing he could thrive in a more consistent and expressive role at the club.

Liverpool have taken a strong liking to a couple Bournemouth players in left-back, Milos Kerkez and centre-back, Dean Huijsen, whom of both could be exchanged as part of player-plus-cash deals, while Caiomhin Kelleher and Ben Doak are players that Andoni Iraola has monitored, alongside Elliott.

Due to the Cherries’ impressive showing this season, they look set to lose what can be considered the core of their promising side, with Kerkez, Huijsen and many others on the radar of top clubs.

This means that any potential move for Elliott could be viewed as a replacement to Antoine Semenyo or Justin Kluivert, if they are to be rewarded with big-money moves elsewhere.

Fulham have looked at the possibility of re-signing Harvey Elliott from Liverpool.

The Reds snapped up Elliott at just sixteen years old back in 2019, for a sum that amounted to £4.3million – a world-record fee for a teenage player at the time.

On several visits back to Craven Cottage, the Liverpool man has encountered difficulty, receiving boos and jeers following the way he departed for Merseyside which left a sour taste in the mouths of Fulham supporters, although, a return is not something that can be ruled out at this stage.

Arne Slot is keen to strengthen his left-back spot this summer and Antonee Robinson is a name that Liverpool are monitoring closely ahead of the transfer window.

As for the talk around Elliott, he could be used as a makeweight in any potential move for Robinson, should the Reds choose to pursue it.

NEWCASTLE UNITEDAlex Livesey – Danehouse/Getty Images.

Newcastle United could be tempted in making an approach for Harvey Elliott.

The Magpies’ interest aligns with their strategy to recruit more homegrown players.

However, they may be reluctant to meet Liverpool’s asking price, due to potential financial constraints due to PSR rules or the budget needing to be spent elsewhere.

Elliott is a player who Newcastle value highly and is considered to tick all the boxes of what Eddie Howe wants in a creative midfielder, a profile that they will be on the lookout for throughout the summer.

It remains to be seen whether Liverpool re-enter negotiations with once Anfield-bound Anthony Gordon as part of any potential deal that involves Harvey Elliott.

At this stage, no serious discussions have taken place and it would be a surprise to see the 22-year-old leave for Tyneside.

NOTTINGHAM FORESTNottingham Forest.

Nottingham Forest have Harvey Elliott on their list ahead of the summer window.

The Tricky Trees are enjoying a shock chase for the UEFA Champions League spots and have lingered around the top five for most of the campaign.

In terms of potential incomings, Liverpool’s promising talent has emerged as a candidate, but much would depend on the future of Morgan Gibbs-White.

It appears that Manchester City are soon to test the water with a first bid, having seen no issue in agreeing personal terms with the Forest star, according to reports.

If the England international does decide to leave the City Ground, then Nuno Espirito Santo will seek a ready-made replacement and Harvey Elliott is a genuine contender.

With Premier League experience in abundance, Elliott would be ideal and he’d have a guaranteed role in the East-Midlands.

Harvey Elliott has openly admitted that he would like to stay and fight for his place under Arne Slot, but if the Dutchman is unable to unlock his potential, then a departure may be best for both parties.

Most supporters feel that Liverpool would be making a mistake by offloading Elliott, believing he still has a lot more to offer to this side.
