Arne Slot’s opportunity to impose authority on his current squad is just a few weeks away, as the end to the 2024-25 campaign edges closer.
Slot has Liverpool way out in-front at the summit of the Premier League, boasting a thirteen-point advantage and just two wins from glory, but flaws remain and a summer overhaul, is expected.
Many players are expected to depart as Liverpool look to go down a different route, and midfielder Wataru Endo’s future remains uncertain, despite joining from VfB Stuttgart at the start of last season.
Under Arne Slot, Endo has seen his minutes severely reduced and seems to have the opposite profile to what the Dutchman wants from his midfielders and the Japanese international could be one of many that see their futures elsewhere.
Liverpool have set an asking price within the regions of £12-15million for their man.
Ahead of the hectic period, we will be discussing the multiple interest in Wataru Endo and assessing five clubs that he could move to come the summer window.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have their eye on Wataru Endo.
They are monitoring the situation closely as manager Vitor Pereira hopes to add more legs in the middle of the park.
Endo has expressed his frustration at a lack of playing time, but Wolves would be willing to offer him that and see the Japanese as a potential addition for next season.
Pereira has openly admitted that he wants strength in depth to Wolves’ midfield department and Endo moving to the Midlands, would maintain his Premier League dream alive.
A January move could have been on the cards, but Wolves felt they did not need to make the move at that time and would be able to wait until the summer.

Eintracht Frankfurt have closely monitored the situation of Wataru Endo ahead of the summer.
Florian Plettenberg for Sky Germany reported back in March that the 32-year-old midfielder is a possible candidate with Endo being allowed to leave Liverpool.
Although, he is currently not on Eintracht Frankfurt’s list of priority signings, partly because the overall package to bring Endo to the club, would exceed the German club’s financial limits.
The Japan international joined the Reds from the Bundesliga, formerly of VfB Stuttgart in Germany, and a move back to the German league cannot be ruled out at this stage.
Liverpool’s contacts for Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike and Hugo Larsson could see the midfielder head in the opposite direction.

Soon-to-be crowned Scottish champions, Celtic, appear to have Wataru Endo on their shortlist.
Former Liverpool manager, Brendan Rodgers, is reportedly keen to add Endo to his ranks, despite having numerous options already.
Celtic have become heavily reliant on their skipper Callum Mcgregor as a number six, but that is not his natural position and has struggled to adapt in his deeper role.
Reo Hatate, Arne Engels, Paulo Bernardo and Luke McCowan are all options for their midfield, but are all seen as box-to-box, whereas Wataru Endo would allow McGregor to return to a more familiar position.
Having managed the Reds from 2012-2015, Rodgers could tempt his former bosses into offloading Wataru Endo to him this summer, joining forces with fellow Japanese internationals, Reo Hatate and Daizen Maeda.
IPSWICH TOWNIMAGO/Ben Peters.
Ipswich Town have recently expressed their admiration towards Liverpool’s samurai.
The Tractor Boys are currently in a fight for survival in the Premier League, sitting in eighteenth and twelve points adrift with six matches remaining.
Though, relegation looks more likely each passing week, a move for Wataru Endo remains in the balance.
Ipswich splashed the cash for their first season back in the top-flight after twenty-two years, but north of £100million combined may still not prove to be enough to stay for a second successive season.
If Kieran McKenna’s side are playing in the Championship next season, Endo would become a very astute signing and bring experience to a young midfield.
With the money generated from the potential sales of forward Liam Delap and promising winger, Jaden Philogene, Ipswich could make the move but it remains to be seen whether Endo would want to relegate himself to a lower division in English football.

AC Milan’s common interest towards Wataru Endo has not went away.
The Italian club see themselves as an exciting project that would be able to offer Endo the wanted playing time, as well as the addition of continuing to compete in the UEFA Champions League.
The Rossoneri have struggled in their midfield department and are looking for long-term solutions to the fix, with Ismael Bennacer’s loan move to Marseille and the overall lack of depth in the position.
Tijani Reijnders and Youssouf Fofana are natural defensive midfielders but it Sergio Conceicao would reportedly like to add another body who can play the position.
Millan feel that their offering of Champions League and competing for major honours would help in their pursuit of Wataru Endo, but he would take up a non-homegrown spot in the squad, with Serie A allowing for just two spots per season.
Wataru Endo has become much-loved within the Liverpool fanbase and could become a cult-hero for his contribution, but being out-of-favour with Arne Slot may result in an inevitable departure this summer.
The Japanese warrior won’t be short of offers and will become an important figure in any side.
Endo provides experience in the midfield and added versatility in the centre of defence.
Wherever he ends up this summer, the buying club will be getting their money’s worth with a real leader in the dressing room.
