Anfield was a sea of red on Sunday afternoon as Liverpool beat Spurs to be crowned Premier League champions.

Our incredible pictures captured the crowds outside Anfield and in the city centre following Liverpool's victory, showing fans celebrating, letting off flares and singing their hearts out.



More than 60,000 fans were expected to travel to Anfield for the match against Tottenham Hotspur, knowing that a draw or better meant Arne Slot's side would win the league.

And what a celebration it was.

There was a sea of red outside Anfield as the roar from thousands of fans echoed through the air.
In town fans poured out of McCooley's and other packed venues to celebrate Liverpool's success and the celebrations didn't look like they were stopping anytime soon.

This occasion is sure to be remembered as one of the most significant days in the club's history, especially since supporters were unable to celebrate their 2020 triumph properly due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.
