Liverpool supporters are starting to grow a little concerned that their transfer business has hit a road bump.
The Reds flew out of the blocks in the market, snapping up Jeremie Frimpong before the end of May.
It had looked likely Liverpool would quickly follow that up with the signing of Florian Wirtz.
But after two weeks of negotiations with Bayer Leverkusen, things are still dragging on.
A deal for Milos Kerkez looked close as well, with the Bournemouth man seemingly eager to link up with Hungary teammate Dominik Szoboszlai at Anfield.
However, things have slowed down with Kerkez too.
Although both deals are reportedly expected to be completed, fans won’t rest easy until they are.
The ongoing internationals are likely causing some of the delay, and ahead of his team’s friendly with Sweden on Friday, Hungary boss Marco Rossi has spoken out to confirm Kerkez will not be involved.

Although Wirtz will be the headline addition of the summer window for Liverpool, Kerkez is arguably even more important to bring through the door.
Liverpool struggled at left-back last season as Andy Robertson started to show signs of a decline.

Danny Murphy has praised the quality of Kerkez recently and the 21-year-old looks like an ideal addition to the left side of Liverpool’s defence.
Things aren’t done yet, though, and with Reds fans hanging onto every bit of news they can find about their potential new man, Rossi has confirmed that he will not be playing against the Swedes on Friday.

“Of course, a few problems may creep in, for example, for tomorrow’s match, neither Milos Kerkez nor Barnabas Varga will be there for various reasons,” he said in a press conference via Nemzeti Sport.
“There are some different opinions, but I expect that all of these will turn out well.”
Intriguingly, Rossi stopped short of saying exactly why Kerkez will not play for his team this Friday.
Having amassed 23 caps by the age of 21, the £45m rated defender is a key man for his nation.
If he’s fit, he tends to play.
And while it is possible Kerkez has picked up a knock, it should be noted that the left-back started all 38 of Bournemouth’s Premier League matches in 2024/25.
He is incredibly durable.
With his move to Liverpool hopefully not far away, a reasonable conclusion would be that Kerkez is being protected against injury in the upcoming friendly.
Fingers crossed a breakthrough between the two clubs is not far away now.
