Liverpool’s summer transfer window has been busy.

The squad has been strengthened with smart signings and some important sales have also been made.

But with the deadline just days away, the Reds still face big decisions.

There are concerns in attack, where many supporters feel another forward should arrive.

There are also gaps at the back, especially in central defence.

On top of that, a few players could still leave Anfield before the window shuts.

Some youngsters are likely to go on loan for more experience, while certain senior names are also considering their futures.

One of them is a defender who has slipped down the pecking order this summer.

Greek international Kostas Tsimikas has been pushed to third-choice left-back and now finds himself weighing up his options.

According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, AS Roma are in talks with Liverpool over a possible deal.

Roma see Tsimikas as “a good deputy for Angelino.”

The report read, “There have been contacts with the Reds regarding the loan arrival of the Greek full-back: the operation is not easy, but Roma are trying and at the beginning of next week we will have a clearer understanding of its feasibility.”

Talks have already started, though the deal is described as “not easy” to complete.

Di Marzio also reports that “more discussions are scheduled for the beginning of next week to understand whether the move is possible.”

Earlier this summer, Liverpool were believed to prefer a permanent sale.

But with time running out, a loan may now be the best solution.

From the Reds’ point of view, the move would still make sense.

New signing Milos Kerkez has been earmarked as Arne Slot’s long-term left-back, while Andy Robertson is under contract until 2026.

If Robertson does not renew, Tsimikas could still return next summer to provide experience and depth.

For now, Roma looks like a genuine option, and the next few days will decide whether the 29-year-old heads to Serie A.
