Aston Villa supporters have been left stunned by Unai Emery’s latest transfer decision ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
The Villans were inches from securing another season of Champions League football, only for Thomas Bramall’s blunder against Man United to condemn the Midlands club to a final-day defeat.
PSR restrictions appear to be playing an obvious role in Villa’s extremely poor summer transfer window, with 34-year-old goalkeeper Marco Bizot the only arrival so far.
In addition to that, several prospects have sealed permanent and temporary moves away, while Ollie Watkins, Morgan Rogers, Ezri Konsa, Emi Martinez, and Jacob Ramsey continue to be linked with exits.

The only positive news so far has been Aston Villa being able to secure Boubacar Kamara to a new contract extension, keeping the Frenchman at Villa Park until the summer of 2030.
While their star striker is a much-loved figure by the supporters, Mick Brown told Football Insider that Watkins has opened the door to joining Newcastle United, and that will be a huge concern.

The latest transfer announcement at Villa Park only concerns a fringe player, Yasin Ozcan, but supporters are struggling to understand the terms of his loan deal with Anderlecht.
Villa signed Ozcan, 19, from Turkish club Kasimpasa on a pre-contract agreement in February and he joined up with Unai Emery’s squad on July 1, having agreed a long-term deal until 2030.
The 19-year-old has now joined Belgian side Anderlecht on a season-long loan but there is a purchase option in the contract, suggesting Villa are preparing to offload the youngster immediately after signing him.

One supporter has called out the news as “absolutely baffling”, with the player extremely emotional to sign for the Villans when the deal was announced earlier this year.
Another has raised the question over the point of signing the young player, who has impressed in Turkey with Kasimpasa over the last three seasons, with many others concerned by the lack of additions so far.
Less than a month remains until the summer transfer window slams shut, and there are just 13 days until the new Premier League campaign kicks off.
