The agent of new Liverpool goalkeeper Armin Pecsi has confirmed there are no plans for his client to leave Anfield on loan next season.

The 20-year-old became the Premier League champions' second signing of the summer over the weekend as he put pen to paper on a five-year deal with the Reds

The signing of the Hungary youth international from Puskas Akademia comes at a time of change within Liverpool's goalkeeper ranks, with long-serving No.2 Caoimhin Kelleher departing the club last week to join Brentford.

This summer will also see Giorgi Mamardashvili move to Anfield after the Reds agreed a £25m deal with Valencia for the shot-stopper last summer, while the Reds also have Viteslav Jaros and Harvey Davies on their books.

But despite the number of goalkeepers that stand between Pecsi and Alisson Becker, the Hungary international is expecting to remain at Anfield for the 2025/26 season.

Speaking to M4 Sport, Pecsi's agent, Matyas Esterhazy, said: "Armin will be at Liverpool next season, this was one of the most important links in our decision.

"We chose Liverpool because they outlined a professional plan that we can identify with, and Armin is a very intelligent, patient and ambitious player."

Liverpool's capture of the Pecsi comes on the same weekend that Alisson cast doubt over his long-term future at Anfield and hinted that a return to his boyhood club international could be on the cards when his contract with the club expires in two years' time.

In Pecsi, though, Esterhazy believes Liverpool have signed one of the most "valuable" goalkeepers of his age in the world.

"We have long believed that Ármin is one of the most valuable goalkeepers in the world in his age group and Liverpool recognised this, which we are very happy about," added Esterhazy.

"The moment of change has come in his career, to change and take the next step in his life.

He had several options to choose from, and I think he made the right decision."
