Jack Grealish is clearly not regretting his decision to leave Man City for David Moyes’ Everton side this summer.
Thomas Tuchel recently snubbed Grealish from the upcoming England squad, but with another two assists during a dramatic 3-2 win over Wolves on Saturday, 30 August, he is proving the coach wrong.
His tally is already at four assists for the 2025/26 Premier League season, and with all three points returning to Merseyside, the Toffees are in contention for a European spot in the table.
It became extremely clear last season that the 29-year-old was no longer part of Pep Guardiola‘s plans at the Etihad Stadium, having only started him a total of seven times in the league.
None of the ongoing drama with his future with City has affected his playing style, however.
In fact, it has been months since the winger has looked this bright, and he is playing with a smile on his face once again.
Taking to Instagram (30 August), Grealish wrote: “Ahhh really enjoying it!!
Come on, you Toffees”.
Along with likes from Arsenal’s Declan Rice, Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers, and Chelsea’s newly injured Liam Delap, former teammate Erling Haaland commented: “What a player.”

Football Insider verdict
David Moyes and his staff have done incredibly well in the transfer window this summer, adding several important figures to the squad, and more deals are possible before the 1 September deadline.
Alan Myers has discussed the possibility of Everton signing Kobbie Mainoo on loan before the window slams shut, and another midfielder could make a major difference for the season ahead.
Iliman Ndiaye, who already has an incredible relationship with Grealish, Beto, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, linked up seamlessly against the Old Gold, and the manager will be hoping for more of the same.

Jarrad Branthwaite is still missing from the backline, having picked up a new injury, so the Toffees will be even stronger once the talented centre-back returns to full fitness.
Supporters would love for the squad to be strengthened even further, and The Friedkin Group have shown plenty of ambition so far, but it cannot be a complete overhaul this summer.
The team needs to gradually change if they are to have success over the coming years, and Moyes has kicked off the new era in spectacular style, with his team sitting comfortably in the top half of the table.
