It’s clear that big changes are happening at Liverpool this summer.

With Arne Slot preparing to defend the title and challenge for more, the Reds are reshaping their squad ahead of the new season.

And while the focus has mostly been on high-profile arrivals and plas for rebuilds, there’s been some serious movement in the goalkeeping department as well.

Liverpool already brought in one new face, and with another senior option on the way out, it’s left little room for anyone outside the top two.

It’s a tough spot for a young player trying to break through.

A loan is often the best route.

It allows for regular football and development at a high level.

That’s exactly what’s being lined up for one of Liverpool’s most promising shot-stoppers — even if fans haven’t seen too much of him yet.

Dutch giants Ajax are closing in on a move for Liverpool goalkeeper Viteslav Jaros.

According to Voetbal International journalist Tim van Duijn, the deal is close.

“Jaros’ arrival at Ajax is a matter of time?

Rent without option,” Van Duijn posted on X.

Jaros has been the third-choice under both Jurgen Klopp and Arne Slot.

He’s behind Alisson and Caoimhin Kelleher in the pecking order.

But with Kelleher expected to leave and Armin Pecsi arriving, the path is still blocked.

It makes sense for Jaros to look elsewhere for first-team minutes.

He’s shown his quality before.

The Athletic once described him as “terrific” for his performances with the Czech Republic Under-21s.

That praise came from how well he commanded his box and organised his defence — rare traits for a young keeper.

Liverpool have also signed Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia, so competition in goal is now as intense as ever.

Jaros needs regular football.

A loan to Ajax — a club known for trusting young talent — could be the perfect next step.

If he impresses in the Eredivisie and keeps a few clean sheets, he may just force his way into Slot’s thinking in the near future.
