Alan Shearer has explained why he is "not bitter" about Hugo Ekitike being a success at Liverpool.
The France international will now serve a one-match ban which will force him to miss the Premier League clash against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

"Ekitike has been superb.
I know Liverpool had a really good 25 minutes in the Merseyside derby, but in terms of the second half as we've seen before, they didn't play particularly well.
"Everton were the better team no doubt and once they got the goal, they were right back in the game.
"Ekitike has been outstanding.

"I am not bitter that Newcastle didn’t get Ekitike.
