The Reds have already added a fair few players to their ranks, and with there still being over two weeks left before transfer deadline day, there’s plenty of time for the Anfield outfit to make some more additions.
Indeed, they’ve already spent a hefty chunk of change, but thanks to the recent sales of Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez, there’s still plenty of money left in Arne Slot’s warchest to splurge a little more.
One of the main players to have been linked with an Anfield move over the last few weeks is Alexander Isak.

Although the arrival of Isak would no doubt improve the Reds’ ranks tenfold, the fact that they’ve just spent over £70million on Hugo Ekitike means that they already have a solid number nine to lead their attack.
Of course, the Frenchman can be used on the left wing if needed, but with the performance he put in as the Reds’ striker in the Community Shield, it’s clear to see that he’d be better leading Liverpool’s attack.
Isak would allow the Reds to have one of the best strikers in the world among their ranks, but in reality, a new centre-back feels more needed at the moment.

With Joe Gomez currently out injured, Slot only has two senior centre-backs to choose from, and while players such as Wataru Endo and Ryan Gravenberch can be used in defence if needed, it’s far from ideal.
