Man United forward Alejandro Garnacho has fuelled speculation after dropping a hint over his future amid growing interest from Chelsea.

The Argentine winger endured a difficult season under boss Ruben Amorim, following a series of poor performances and a reported falling out with the manager.

According to reports, Garnacho clashed with Amorim towards the back end of the campaign, with the United head coach allegedly telling him: “You better pray that you can find a club to sign you” following their disagreement.

He has yet to be included in the club’s pre-season squad, and Football Insider recently revealed that Man United are now prepared to lower their asking price for Garnacho after initially struggling to attract serious interest earlier in the window.

Now, the 21-year-old himself appears to have added fuel to the fire with his reaction to an online update regarding his future, prompting fresh speculation over a potential summer exit.

Fabrizio Romano provided an update on Instagram regarding Garnacho, revealing that the winger “remains on the list” for Chelsea as they explore a potential move.

Romano also noted that Chelsea’s interest in Xavi Simons is unrelated to any possible deal for the Argentine, should the club decide to move forward in their pursuit.

The Man United forward sparked speculation after fans noticed he had liked the post, adding further intrigue to the ongoing rumours.

While United are open to selling the academy graduate, they may have faced difficulty finding suitors.

Football Insider revealed that Garnacho is keen to stay in the Premier League and has instructed his agent to find him a top-level club.

He managed just six goals in a disappointing season with Amorim’s side, and even endured a 24-game goal drought, but it seems as if a move to Chelsea could still be on the cards.

Another academy graduate previously linked with a summer departure was Kobbie Mainoo, but it now appears United have reconsidered.

Football Insider has reported that Mainoo is increasingly likely to stay at Old Trafford beyond the end of the current transfer window.

Earlier in the year, Man United were reportedly open to offers for Mainoo due to stalled contract talks and a desire to raise funds.
