Alejandro Garnacho is on the brink of a sensational move from Manchester United to Chelsea as the details of his transfer have been revealed.
A deal for Garnacho has been rumbling on for most of the window since it was revealed that the Argentine international was a member of Ruben Amorim’s ‘bomb squad’.
Football Insider revealed United have had to take drastic action to move on the ‘bomb squad’ that includes Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia.
Many pundits were shocked that the fee that was reportedly offered to Chelsea was discounted and fans have been concerned at the reported prices for Garnacho.
On the other hand, some believe that Chelsea’s continued pursuit of Garnacho has hampered their chances of signings Xavi Simons, with reactions mixed for the move.

As the transfer deadline approaches and United need reinforcements, a sale for Garnacho has been fast-tracked by the Old Trafford hierarchy.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Fabrizio Romano confirmed that the deal for Garnacho will cost a package of close to £40 million.

United have needed to raise funds for further squad reinforcements in midfield and in goal, after spending over £200m on their new front three, and a sale for Garnacho helps them in that regard.
Football Insider verdict
Garnacho’s sale represents a pure-profit sale for a United side strapped for cash, as the Argentine is an academy product.
The sale of Garnacho alongside the rumours that Kobbie Mainoo may look to exit the club as well, after the United youth product has fallen out of favour with Amorim, has caused concern for United fans.

Amorim, who has controversially wedded himself to his 3-4-2-1 system has also looked to compromise the club’s incredible youth record that has seen an academy graduate named in every matchday squad since 1937.
