Fulham fought back from a goal down to earn a 1-1 draw at home against Manchester United thanks to Emile Smith-Rowe’s instant impact off the bench.
Fulham’s main source of goal threat came on set pieces in the first half as Altay Bayindir looked consistently flustered when having to deal with balls into the box, but the hosts failed to convert any of their chances.
The Cottagers looked the more threatening team in the second half but it was Leny Yoro’s flick on that deflected off of Rodrigo Muniz that gave the visitors the lead.
Fifteen minutes from full time Alex Iwobi, who impressed throughout, whipped in a ball that substitute Smith-Rowe poked home to give Fulham an equaliser.

Bernd Leno – 7
Leno kept Fulham on level terms with a smart save at close quarters from Cunha’s shot early in the game.
Kenny Tete – 6
Fulham marshalled United’s attacking threat well and Tete was no different, but the full-back was largely ineffective going forwards.
Joachim Andersen – 6
Andersen was a rock at the back for Fulham defending everything that came into the box and the Danish international was threatening in United’s box from set pieces too.

Calvin Bassey – 5
Bassey gave away United’s penalty with a foolish challenge on Mason Mount, and was unlucky not to get a foul after Yoro’s push in the buildup to the visitor’s opener.
Overall Bassey handled Bryan Mbeumo well but was rash on the penalty decision.
Ryan Sessegnon – 7
Sessegnon marshalled teh attacking threat of Amad Diallo well and delivered some wicked corners into the box for Bayindir to deal with.
Sasa Lukic – 6
Fulham dominated the midfield battle and that was thanks largely to the large amount of ground covered by Lukic.
Sander Berge – 6
Like his midfield partner, Berge was everywhere for Fulham in midfield, constantly winning the ball and recycling possession for Marco Silva’s side.
Timothy Castagne – 5
Castagne played in a less familiar right wing position and it was clear to see that the Belgian wasn’t used to playing as advanced as he was being asked to, being largely ineffective during the hour he was on the pitch.
Josh King – 5
King had some nice movement off the ball but the 18-year-old was ineffective throughout and struggled to get a foothold in the game.
Alex Iwobi – 8
Iwobi was Fulham’s star man consistently overloading the numbers in United’s midfield and it was his assist to Smith-Rowe that got the hosts deservedly level.
Rodrigo Muniz – 6
Muniz was the unfortunate victim of Yoro’s flick on that hit the Brazilian’s back before deflecting into the goal.
He was replaced shortly after and wasn’t much of a goal threat.
Antonee Robinson (for Castagne 62) – 6
Robinson came off the bench and did well at left back to drive Fulham forwards as they searched for an equaliser, setting up Iwobi for his ball into the box for the equaliser.
Harry Wilson (for Sessegnon 62) – 6
Silva turned to Wilson as an alternative for Castagne at right wing and the Welshman offered more of an outlet for the hosts.
Raul Jiminez (for Muniz 71) – 5
Jiminez was as ineffective as Muniz up top for Fulham, and the Mexican international struggled to impact the game.
Emile Smith-Rowe (for King 71) – 8
Smith-Rowe had the golden touch as he came off the bench to score with his first involvement of the match, earning his side a point.
