Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain played for Liverpool between 2017 and 2023.
On 31st August 2017, the Englishman put pen to paper on a five-year contract with the Reds after signing for £35m.
The season that he joined was arguably his best season to date, and he was becoming a key member of the side under Jurgen Klopp before a serious knee injury halted his progression in its tracks.
Suffered during the semi-final of the Champions League against Roma on 25th April 2018, Oxlade-Chamberlain was out for 366 days before making his return as a substitute in Liverpool’s 5-0 win over Huddersfield Town on 26th April 2019.
After working his way back to full fitness, he was in and out of the team, never really finding consistency in a Liverpool shirt.
He did sign a one-year extension to his contract in 2019, but left Liverpool in 2023 upon the expiry of that deal.
After Liverpool, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain headed to Turkey to play for Besiktas.
He signed on a three-year contract but suffered a muscle tear in December of 2023 that put him out of action for four months.
Ahead of the 2024/25 season, Oxlade-Chamberlain was frozen out of the Besiktas squad by manager at the time, Giovanni van Bronckhorst, who is now an assistant coach to Arne Slot at Liverpool.
Oxlade-Chamberlain as also left out of the Europa League group stages.
In August 2025, Besiktas announced the termination of his contract.
The Englishman is now without a club with the new season underway.
Despite all of that, there are signs of positivity for Oxlade-Chamberlain off the pitch, as he and his partner Perrie Edwards have announced the news that they are expecting their second child.
They announced the news on social media to the delight of their fans.
