Yet Isak's move fractured his relationship with his former club beyond repair, with both parties releasing pointed statements on the saga.
The 25-year-old admitted that finally securing the move to the Premier League champions has come as a relief and he is now focused on getting on the pitch as soon as possible.
"It’s mixed emotions – some relief but a lot of pride, happiness," he added.
