Alexander Isak's name has continued to be mentioned in the Liverpool transfer rumour mill all summer as the new Premier League season fast approaches.
The Magpies have previously been resolute with their stance that Isak is not for sale this summer.

If Isak was to join Liverpool in the days ahead, he could face a very swift reunion with the Magpies.
The Reds are scheduled to face Newcastle in their second Premier League fixture of the season on August 25.
The fixture will take place at St James' Park and will also be Liverpool's first away trip of the new campaign.
If Isak is signed by the Reds at that point, he could go on to feature at his former home stadium in one of his first appearances for Liverpool.

News emerged on Thursday that Isak is apparently working on his fitness at the training base of his former club, Real Sociedad.
The reason given for the absence was due to the striker recovering from a minor injury, and has since only fuelled speculation that a move to Liverpool may be on the cards.
