Newcastle United forward Alexander Isak has been nominated for the 2024/25 PFA Players' Player of the Year award, marking his first nomination for this prestigious prize after an impressive season. Isak scored 23 Premier League goals and played a pivotal role in Newcastle's first major domestic trophy win since 1955, netting in the Carabao Cup final victory over Liverpool at Wembley Stadium.

The 25-year-old Swedish striker is shortlisted alongside Liverpool's Mohamed Salah and Alexis Mac Allister, Chelsea's Cole Palmer, Arsenal's Declan Rice, and Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes. The nominees are voted for exclusively by members of the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA), i.e., fellow professional players.

The award winner will be announced at the 52nd annual PFA Awards ceremony in Manchester on Tuesday, 19 August 2025, shortly after the start of the 2025/26 Premier League season.

Despite his nomination, Isak is not expected to attend the PFA awards gala, according to BBC Sport reports.
