Liverpool are prepared to demolish the British transfer record for the second time in one transfer window.

The Reds may have spent just under £300m this summer but they are ready to go big again, this time for their ‘dream’ signing Alexander Isak.

The Swede wants to leave Newcastle this summer and is only said to want Liverpool, with the feelings certainly mutual.

Now the transfer all depends on his parent club’s stance as if they show a willingness to let him go, Liverpool will be ready to pounce with a record-breaking bid.

Huge transfer fees mean players can feel a lot of pressure and this will affect their ability to perform, however Isak has already assured Reds fans that this will not impact him in the slightest.

“Yes, but it depends on how you see it,” Isak replied when asked if the pressure of a big price tag can affect the way he plays back in February.

“For me, it’s a healthy pressure.

I love to score goals and I love to feel that pressure of having to score because it gets me going as well.

So yeah, I only see it in a positive way.”

If the move is to happen, the pressure on him will certainly be great, but it will also be on the entire team as they will be expected to win every trophy available to them next season.

After signing Hugo Ekitike already, saying that Liverpool must sign another striker might seem a little greedy, but based on how the saga has panned out, they simply have to.

Not only have they said that if an opportunity arises they will make a move, meaning that they need to stick to what they promised, but this is a chance that may never come around again.

At 25, the Reds have their best chance to sign one of the hottest strikers in the world, and the player very clearly wants to move to Anfield.

Granted, they will have two expensive strikers on the books, but with sales, they can make it work, and they now need to make it happen.
