Sky Sports removed a clip from their social media platforms following backlash from Newcastle supporters.
The controversial footage showed fans chanting what appeared to be a song aimed at Alexander Isak, who continues to seek an exit from the club.
Nevertheless, supporters expressed fury with Sky Sports for broadcasting the chants whilst showing Newcastle players departing the pitch, insisting the singing only commenced after those who had featured had already left the field.
"Utter disgrace," one supporter posted on social media.
Why do that?".
The same supporter referenced a Sky Sports Instagram post, which has subsequently been deleted.
"That's my Sky subscription cancelled tomorrow," a second supporter responded to the footage, whilst a third commented: "That singing was done way after the players had gone" and others pondered contacting broadcasting regulator Ofcom.
Following the match, Newcastle boss Howe was questioned about the supporters' chants as well as striker Isak's future.
"I'm not going to have a big opinion on [the chants]," he remarked, according to the Shields Gazette.
"The supporters supported the team which is my big ask, which they have done unbelievably well.
