Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak is being linked with a summer move to Liverpool in the Reds' search for a striker (Image: Getty Images)
Liverpool reportedly feel Alexander Isak is open to joining Liverpool this summer.
It has been claimed that the Reds have approached Newcastle United about a move for the 25-year-old.
It is said that the Magpies are bracing themselves for an official offer from Liverpool for Isak which could be in the region of £130million.
However, the ECHO understands that no one at the Reds has made contact with Newcastle about Isak as things stand.
The Swedish striker has emerged as one of the Premier League's best strikers in recent seasons and Darwin Nunez's uncertain future at Anfield has only increased transfer speculation surrounding the Newcastle front-man.
Isak scored 27 goals across all competitions for Eddie Howe's side last season - one of which helped Newcastle beat Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final.

And journalist Fabrizio Romano has provided his take on the situation when asked for Isak's reaction to the claimed bid from the Reds.
"Liverpool feel Isak is open to the move, but this story completely depends on the clubs, and especially on Newcastle’s decision," he said in his latest newsletter for GiveMeSport.
The ECHO's sister site, Chronicle Live, reports that club insiders insist Isak is not for sale.
The publication also claims that Newcastle told Arsenal this summer that the striker would receive a lucrative contract offer.
They also acknowledge that their sporting director, Paul Mitchell, left last month, with chief executive Darren Eales also to step down once the club appoint a successor.
Sky Sports, meanwhile, have claimed that Liverpool are expected to rival Newcastle for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike after being told Isak is not for sale.
