Alexander Isak is starting to get used to life at Liverpool after his first goal for the club on Tuesday.
The Swedish striker started his first League Cup game for the Reds against Southampton and scored his debut goal for the club in the first half, much to the delight of the Anfield crowd.
Isak only appeared for the first half as he is still building up to full match fitness and was subbed off for Hugo Ekitike, who made headlines for not the goal he scored but how he celebrated it when he earned a second yellow card for taking his shirt off.
However, it now means that the 25-year-old will likely get his first start in the Premier League for Liverpool against Crystal Palace on Saturday, which could be a good step on his road to playing a full game.
He has only been a part of the club for the past few weeks after joining on deadline day, and has appeared in three matches so far, with one appearance off the bench against Everton.

His arrival makes him a part of a long lineage of iconic strikers to grace the Merseyside club, following in the footsteps of legends such as Ian Rush and John Barnes.
But it is not only those two names that have made their mark on the club; Michael Owen and Robbie Fowler are always players who are considered some of the best in the history of the football club.

The new signing had the very difficult task of ranking a few different names, mainly from the club’s recent history, who have played in the role he now occupies.
After the introduction of Luis Suarez into the question, the striker was asked to pick between him and Owen as to who he believed was the best.
Speaking to La Premier’s TikTok account, Isak said: “I would say Suarez because he is closer to my era.”

It was a surprise given the impact the Englishman had during his time at the club, but it makes sense given the age of Liverpool’s new No.
9.
In the end, he chose Suarez over Fowler, which meant that the Uruguayan was crowned the best in his ranking of the best the club has to offer.
It is very clear why he holds the 38-year-old in such high regard, given the way he plays looks quite similar to the young Suarez who lit up games in a red shirt.
His passing, from his time at Newcastle United and brief cameos for Liverpool, shows some great skill and ingenuity in trying to create chances for others.
The way he moves also has a similar look, given that he enjoys drifting outside and finding space to shoot from an angle.
Supporters were already happy with the signing, but when they saw him appear not at full fitness, they could see how much quality they would have going forward.
His finish for the goal against Southampton was a sign of things to come, and with him and Ekitike in this side, Liverpool are going to be difficult to beat.
