Liverpool have signalled their intent in the transfer window - and reports regarding a move for Premier League star Alexander Isak continue.

Arne Slot's side have already been active in the market this summer, signing Bayer Leverkusen duo Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz.

Giorgi Marmadashvili will officially become a Liverpool player at the beginning of July, after completing his move last summer, and the Reds are closing in on a deal to sign Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth.



With, arguably, the Premier League champions' most important business wrapped up, the focus could be on offloading some of the players within Arne Slot's side.

Jarell Quansah is on the brink of a move to Germany, Harvey Elliott has been linked with an Anfield exit, with both Darwin Nunez and Federico Chiesa mooted with Serie A switches.

However, one man who has been linked with a move to Anfield is Isak - and we have rounded-up the latest reports surrounding the Swedish talisman.

Early on Tuesday morning, The Athletic claimed Liverpool are admirers of Isak but a deal would be very difficult given his huge valuation.

While the Daily Mail's Lewis Steele reported on Tuesday that a move for Isak is easier said than done.

Although a move is possible, it currently isn't probable.

It has been claimed that Newcastle are demanding £200million for the Sweden international.

Hugo Ekitike has been described as a player that Liverpool like, in the report, but nothing is advanced for the Frenchman.

The Times sparked the most uncertainty regarding Isak and his future at St James' Park yesterday.

In the report from Martin Hardy, the Magpies are reportedly prepared to make the Swede their record-earner in a bid to fight off interest from suitors.

Bosses at the North East club are said to be readying talks over a new deal to take him beyond £150,000-per-week and earn more than the likes of Sandro Tonali, Bruno Guimaraes and former Liverpool target, Anthony Gordon.

The report claims that Liverpool have the funds to test Newcastle's resolve with Isak's club concerned that an offer could be made next month.

With three years left on his contract, the 25-year-old hasn't given any indication that he would like to leave.
