All eyes are fixed on Alexander Isak and where he will be playing his football come the end of the summer transfer window.
The striker, who Liverpool are long-term admirers of, has informed Newcastle United he is considering his future and a possible transfer before the window closes.
Word of this arrived on Thursday after Newcastle had flown to Singapore to begin their pre-season tour of Asia.
Isak was not amongst the players making the trip as he had pulled out of Eddie Howe's squad for what was cited to be a thigh injury.
So everything that came later about the 25-year-old's wish served only to increase intrigue about a transfer, particularly to Liverpool who remain on standby for the man tipped to move for £120m at minimum.

Even having spent almost £300m on transfers this summer it is a deal the Reds are capable of doing.
They have already proven with Florian Wirtz's £116m arrival that when such an opportunity presents itself, they will act accordingly.
Isak's 23 goals in the Premier League last season made him the division's second-top scorer behind Mohamed Salah, whilst he ended the season with 27 strikes in all competitions - his best return in three seasons at Newcastle.
So, this situation is set to develop as plenty of factors are at play.

Newcastle United chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan is set to be a key figure among the club's decision-makers when it comes to the future of Alexander Isak, according to reports.
The Telegraph claims that Al-Rumayyan, Newcastle's chairman, and Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF), will decide the next steps after Isak informed the club of his desire to explore his options.
Al-Rumayyan's direct involvement is unusual at St James' Park, as the Saudi businessman typically takes a more hands-off approach to the club's daily operations.
We know everything is going around him but he is staying there to do some physical stuff."
Amid everything going on with Isak, Newcastle are working to get their own transfer targets through the entrance door at St.
