It has been claimed that there is a confidence that a deal could be done.
However, it now seems that there could be another hurdle to overcome with Newcastle United being handed a blow in bringing in a possible replacement.
One of their main targets is Wolves’ Jorgen Strand Larsen.

The club have seen two bids turned down by the midlands side so far, with the second worth around £55 million.
We are not in a situation to sell our best players.
"The information I have is that he will stay with us."
Speaking to BBC Match of the Day, he added that his team "need to bring more players, not to sell players".
The latest update means that Newcastle may now have to turn their attention elsewhere for a striker signing.
The Sweden international is pushing hard for the move, and is currently training away from the Newcastle first team squad.
