Liverpool could have been handed an Alexander Isak transfer twist from a big striker update impacting Newcastle United(Image: (Owen Humphreys/PA Wire))
Liverpool could still complete two marquee transfers in the remaining weeks of the summer window despite already spending well over £200million.
Hugo Ekitike's arrival from Eintracht Frankfurt saw that sum surpassed with the Frenchman joining Florian Wirtz, Milos Kerkez and Jeremie Frimpong as new arrivals.
The pure profit sale of Jarell Quansah, Luis Diaz's transfer to Bayern Munich and Liverpool's lack of activity last summer has helped four major incomings be affordable.
Harvey Elliot, Darwin Nunez and Federico Chiesa could also be moving elsewhere but even without potential fees obtained for that trio, Liverpool can still sign Alexander Isak, with the Newcastle star appearing to be the club's top target for the remaining weeks of the summer window.

Alongside signing a elite striker, Liverpool may hope to sign a centre-back with an update on Marc Guehi's future at Crystal Palace potentially set to be impacted by a key decision in early August.
With all of that being said, the ECHO has rounded up the latest Liverpool transfer news and rumours.
Newcastle are more likely to allow an Isak departure if a suitable replacement is signed, it has been claimed.
RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko appears their top choice but they may miss out on another key target as Manchester United are prioritising the Slovenia international, according to the Athletic.

Their latest report has also added that both clubs have been told Leipzig want £64.7million (€75m) upfront to sell.
If the Magpies are confident that Sesko will be joining, funds will likely be needed and thus Isak could be allowed to depart at a more favourable price from Liverpool's perspective.
Newcastle wanted to add a centre-forward alongside Isak this summer and therefore to sign two, with Sesko as one, Liverpool may find them to be looser in negotiations as their hope may be to have a second replacement also settled into the club as soon as possible.
Crystal Palace are set to learn their European fate for the 2025/26 season on Monday, August 11, and it could have an impact on Marc Guehi's future.
The England international, who has 12 months remaining on his contract, has been linked with a move to Liverpool.
The Eagles remaining in the Conference League could be key to Liverpool making a late push to sign the 25-year-old and all parties being receptive to it.
