Alexander Isak's transfer saga continues to ramp up amid interest from Liverpool.
The Reds have already made one blockbuster signing this summer, smashing their record transfer for Florian Wirtz, but could still land the striker with fears seemingly growing amongst Newcastle United supporters.
Despite acquiring Hugo Ekitike from under the noses of the North East club, Liverpool have continued to concentrate their focus on further strengthening their attacking force.
Uncertainty remains surrounding the Magpies' record signing, who cost £63million from Real Sociedad, after he was sent home from their camp in Scotland as well as not travelling to the Far East.
Liverpool's Premier League title defence gets underway in just over two weeks when AFC Bournemouth visit Anfield on Friday, August 15.

The Reds are back on home soil after two matches as part of their preparations in Asia against AC Milan and Yokohama FM as they gear up for the domestic curtain-raiser with Crystal Palace in the Community Shield.
Liverpool have enough financial security to not be under threat from future Premier League sanctions for Profit and Sustainability, therefore all eyes will be on how each domino falls regarding Isak, Newcastle and the future of the Sweden striker.
Here is the latest Liverpool transfer news regarding the 25-year-old.

Newcastle manager Eddie Howe has admitted that the future of the talismanic striker is not in his hands - despite 'wishing' he will stay.
The Magpies head coach added that there have been no offers tabled for the 54-goal Premier League forward.
"He is still our player.
My wish is that he stays and we see him playing again next year."
On Tuesday, Sky Sports Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg reported that Isak has already reached a verbal agreement with the Reds over a six-year contract.
He added that the Sweden international wants to make the move to Anfield as early as this transfer window with both clubs in contact.
Plettenberg claims that the wage would be similar to Ekitike's, who made his first start for the Reds against Yokohama FM after his move from Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday.
The reporter suggests that Newcastle are pushing hard to sign RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko.
However, the Manchester Evening News has claimed that Manchester United are advancing in a potential move for the 22-year-old.
The Red Devils have been repeatedly linked with strikers this summer as they look to bounce back from their torrid campaign, finishing in 15th.
Ruben Amorim's side had looked to Ollie Watkins but were rejected by Aston Villa, who are said to be adamant that the England striker is not for sale.
With the encouragement over the Slovenian, United are reportedly pursuing a deal for Sesko.
Should Liverpool's rivals land the 22-year-old, it could have an impact on the Reds' push to sign Isak.
And Craig Hope of the Daily Mail believes that should Newcastle miss out on another attacking target, it will have an impact on Liverpool's pursuit of Isak.
He has claimed that Newcastle will only contemplate the sale of the Sweden international if it was 'right for the club' but if they miss out on Sesko, an alternative would need to be identified before an exit is sanctioned.
Newcastle are reportedly in ongoing discussions for both Sesko and Brentford striker Yoane Wissa while Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz has been added to their attacking shortlist.
The Manchester Evening News also reported that Liverpool are weighing up the possibility of leaving the number 14, Isak's current number for the Magpies, vacant for Sweden international.

Liverpool haven't allocated squad numbers yet for their flurry of summer signings with the Reds officially due to switch kit manufacturers from Nike to Adidas in August.
There was also a report in Spain that claimed Isak is working with a personal trainer at the training ground of his former club Real Sociedad after missing the Magpies trip of the Far East with an injury.
According to El Diario Vasco, Isak has been training on his own in the weeks after expressing his desire to leave Newcastle, being sent home from their pre-season preparations and missing their latest tour.
