Alexander Isak is expected to rejoin the Newcastle squad after Liverpool's failed attempt to sign him, according to reports.
Liverpool initially reached out to Newcastle last month before firming up their interest with an official bid on Friday.
Liverpool reportedly tabled a proposal of around £110million but Newcastle were quick to dismiss their advances.
Newcastle have made it clear that Isak, who is desperate to join Liverpool, has a price tag of £150m.

They are said to have been left furious with the way Liverpool have approached the situation.
It was initially communicated by the Magpies that he had been left out of the squad because of an injury.
The striker is now expected to return to training with Newcastle after Liverpool's approach fell flat, according to The Athletic.
The report claims that Newcastle are trying to tie Isak down to a new and improved contract, which would include a release clause for next summer.
However, the 25-year-old has no interest in signing fresh terms because he wants to join Liverpool.
His personal stance has been clear to the Magpies for some time, but they are continuing to dig their heels in and holding out hope that he will change his mind.
Newcastle boss Eddie Howe explained on Saturday that he wanted Isak to remain at the club, saying: "I was made aware of a bid yesterday and that it was turned down, all before I’d even heard about it.
"People in England are dealing with the situation.
From our perspective, we still support Alex in every way.
"My wish is that we see him in a Newcastle shirt again.
