Alexander Isak has been the talk of football after issuing a damning statement in which he said his relationship with Newcastle United is now over.
The forward broke his silence on the ongoing transfer saga involving him and the Magpies by releasing a statement on social media on Tuesday night.
Isak, who scored 27 goals in 42 games for the North East club last season, has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool, with the Reds having already had a bid of £110m rejected at the start of this month.
The Sweden striker was not involved in Newcastle’s Premier League opener last weekend after training away from the rest of his team-mates.
And Isak will also miss Monday’s game against Arne Slot’s side at St James' Park.

But former Liverpool midfielder Jan Molby believes Isak has made a mistake in releasing a statement the way he did, and he actually would have been better off saying nothing.
“Normally in a situation like that, we are desperate to hear from the people involved, but in this instance, I think he should have kept quiet,” he told Anfield Index.
“Nobody is in doubt that he wants to leave Newcastle, but as things stand, he’s not actually said anything and has stayed away from verbally saying, 'I want to leave the football club'.
“He said two words, 'promises' and 'issues', so then tell me what the promises and issues are!
“This then puts Newcastle on the back foot because if he is telling the truth, then they are going to have to come out and lie.
He’s left the door open for them to come back.”
Addressing the situation with Isak on Friday morning, Newcastle boss Eddie Howe admitted: “I think it is a lose-lose situation to a degree for us because I don’t think we can come out of this winning in any situation.

“That is why I have said all summer it is a difficult situation for the club to manage.
“We love Alex in the sense of what he has done for this football club since he has been here, what he has contributed, what he has given, how professional he’s been and this has just been an unfortunate few months that looks like it is coming to an end.
“And it will come to an end pretty quickly and then we can focus on the football again.”
