Eddie Howe has revealed Newcastle United are yet to receive any formal offers for Alexander Isak.
The forward has been heavily linked with Liverpool after it was reported that he was keen to explore a move away from St James' Park this summer.
The Sweden international still has three years left on his contract at Newcastle, who he joined in the summer of 2022 from Real Sociedad, but has been absent from the club’s pre-season tour of the Far East.
The Magpies had maintained that Isak is not for sale and Howe, speaking following his side’s 1-0 defeat to the K-League All Stars in South Korea, revealed via Craig Hope of the Daily Mail, that no bids have been received for his star centre-forward.

Asked about Isak on Tuesday, Howe said: “He is still our player.
I would love to believe all possibilities are still available to us.

“My wish is that he stays, but that’s not in my full control.
My wish is that he stays and we see him playing again next year.”
Speaking over the weekend, Newcastle defender Dan Burn admitted he hopes Isak will remain at the club this summer.
“I think if we lost any player it would upset us,” he said.
“We’re a tight knit group that’s been together for two, three years now so, yeah, any player that leaves it doesn’t help.

“But, from out point of view we’ll control what we can control.
At the moment we’re looking forward to getting Alex [Isak] back when he’s fit.”
