Alexander Isak's dream of wearing his preferred shirt number could be dashed if he joins Liverpool.

Isak has long favoured the No.14 shirt - worn by his idol Thierry Henry - but that number is currently occupied at Liverpool by Federico Chiesa.

The No.9 shirt at Anfield, currently donned by Darwin Nunez, could soon be up for grabs.

The Uruguayan striker is potentially to be on his way out this summer, paving the way for Isak to claim that cherished number.

Even if Nunez stays, there's a precedent suggesting he might willingly give up the No.9 shirt.

Isak has openly expressed his fondness for the No.14, attributing it to his admiration for Henry, who wore the number at Arsenal and Barcelona.

In a conversation with Newcastle legend Alan Shearer in January, Isak revealed: "Thierry Henry was definitely one player I liked a bit extra.

"Many great players have had No.14.

At Real Sociedad, he wore No.19, which is currently Harvey Elliott's number at Liverpool.

With rumours of Elliott's potential exit this summer, the No.19 could become an option for Isak should he leave St James' Park for Anfield.
