It's been a hectic time for Alexander Isak following his move to Liverpool(Image: Getty Images)Alexander Isak has been the talk of the football world throughout the summer, despite not featuring in a single match, following his successful campaign to secure a transfer to Liverpool.
The Swedish striker transformed from Tyneside favourite to villain after pushing to leave Newcastle to join the reigning Premier League champions.
His determination to leave was so intense that he distanced himself from Eddie Howe's training sessions before issuing a damning public statement on social media, claiming Newcastle had reneged on agreements following Liverpool's initial offer being turned down.
Despite holding firm for the majority of the transfer window, the Magpies ultimately capitulated to Isak's wishes, offloading him for a record-breaking British fee of £125million on deadline day.
As he gears up for a potential Liverpool bow against Burnley this Sunday, here's what's been happening since his contentious switch.
The ink had barely dried on his contract before Isak jetted off to link up with Sweden's national squad for World Cup qualifying fixtures against Slovenia and Kosovo.
Having been frozen out of Newcastle's first-team setup this season, Isak lacked competitive rhythm, prompting discussions between Sweden manager Jon Dahl Tomasson and Liverpool chief Arne Slot, alongside their respective medical departments.

Ahead of the international fixtures, Tomasson explained: "We will not do any stupid things with him.
It doesn't matter where the players play as long as they play and that they are happy, and he is extremely happy."
Isak was then benched for the Slovenia match and later played the last 18 minutes in the 2-0 loss to Kosovo, sparking rumours that Liverpool had set a cap on his playing time.
Despite Newcastle fans being upset by Isak's actions, his ex-colleagues maintain there's no ill will.
Discussing Isak's farewell note in the squad's WhatsApp group, Magpies defender Dan Burn said: "He put a message in the chat just saying that he was leaving, and thanks for the memories, all that sort of stuff, and the lads replied.
