Newcastle's Alexander Isak has been told he could pocket a mammoth £600,000 a week net if he chooses to sign for Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia.

The striker has not travelled with Newcastle on their pre-season tour to Asia, which has only served to increase speculation regarding his exit.

Liverpool are the only Premier League side expected to move for Isak, despite already spending more than £200million this summer on new arrivals.

The Reds just parted with £79m to land Huko Ekitike from Frankfurt with the Frenchman signed as a No 9, but that is unlikely to stop Liverpool going after Isak if it becomes clear that the Swede wants to leave Newcastle and seek pastures new.

If finances are ultimately his motivation then neither Newcastle, nor Liverpool, will be able to match the numbers on offer in Saudi Arabia.

Al Hilal have told Isak's advisors they are prepared to strike a deal worth more than half a million a week, which would make him among football's highest earners, reports the Daily Mail.

The Magpies are keen to negotiate a new deal despite him having three years to run on his current contract.

They want to offer him a deal that reflects his value in the north east, but it could prove too late with Isak now wanting to assess his options.

Al Hilal have continued to flex their financial muscles and several summers ago made a world-record bid for Kylian Mbappe when he was still at PSG.

They've also continued to raid the Premier League for talent, which has helped them become one of their country's dominant forces.

Ruben Neves, Joao Cancelo and Aleksandar Mitrovic are all plying their trade with the Saudi outfit.

However Isak is not expected to take up the lucrative offer with the striker very much in the peak of his powers and continuing to improve.

Any decision on Isak's future will reportedly be made by Newcastle chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan - not Eddie Howe.
