Alexis Mac Allister is hopeful he will be fit for the start of the season after returning to Liverpool team training on Monday (June 28).
The Argentina international missed the Reds’ final two matches of last season with an undisclosed injury and has remained sidelined ever since.

And while he travelled with Arne Slot’s squad for their pre-season tour of the Far East, he also sat out the Reds’ clash with AC Milan in Hong Kong.

While the Yokohoma clash might come too soon for Mac Allister, having only just returned to team training, the Argentine could perhaps be eyeing up a playing return against Athletic Bilbao ahead of the start of the season.
