However, one player who was not involved was Alexis Mac Allister, who missed the game due to a minor fitness issue.

But watching at home, the World Cup winner took to Instagram to send a message to his team-mates during the first-half.
He wrote: "Come on the boys.”

Speaking after the game, Reds boss Arne Slot said: "I'm not too sure it was a football match today.
We didn't play well enough on the ball.
For his age he is a really good finisher."
While Newcastle boss Eddie Howe said: "I think it's tough to play against 11 men, especially against a team with the quality of Liverpool.
The first goal was key, it gave us belief, it got us back into the match and we always felt if the margin was one we'd be able to get something from the match."
