Alexis Mac Allister’s girlfriend issued an update on her pregnancy after the midfielder missed Liverpool's game at Newcastle United.

Mac Allister has been a crucial player in Liverpool’s victories in the Carabao Cup in 2024 and the Premier League in 2025.

The Argentinian missed much of Liverpool’s pre-season preparations this summer after picking up an injury at the back end of the last campaign.



The World Cup winner did start Liverpool’s first league game against Bournemouth but was absent again on Monday when the Reds faced Newcastle United.

It was speculated online that he had missed the game due to his partner Ailen Cova giving birth but this was not the case.

In a touching message, she wished her sister Brina a happy birthday and posted a series of black and white pictures of them together, including one of her sister kissing her baby bump.
