The wait goes on for Alisson Becker, with the latest reports suggesting he could still be a few weeks away from a return to training with Liverpool.

The Brazilian would pick up a hamstring injury in training just a few days later, which has seen him missing for almost two months now.

According to the ECHO, Alisson remains ‘several weeks’ away from full training.



Jürgen Klopp though has stated that he expects the goalkeeper to play again this season, with a return by the end of next month looking the most likely.

Meanwhile, Matip has made a surprise return at the AXA Training Centre.

At this stage though, there is no timeline for a possible return, and with his contract expiring in the summer, it could still be the case that he has already played his final game for Liverpool.

Elsewhere, it’s as you were on the injury front.

Curtis Jones could also make his return against the Seagulls, although Trent Alexander-Arnold and Diogo Jota will have to wait at least another week.

Stefan Baj?eti? could make a return to training soon after undergoing a ‘mini pre-season’ as Klopp described it.

Thiago Alcântara though is likely to be out for the rest of the campaign, and with his contract up in the summer, may have already made his last appearance for the club.

Liverpool.com says: It would be a major boost to have Alisson back for the final weeks of the season, although Caoimhín Kelleher has proven to be a more than able deputy in recent games.
