Alisson Becker and Luis Diaz attended the seventh-day mass for Diogo Jota, having been unable to make the funeral of the late Liverpool star.

Jota and his brother, Andre Silva, tragically lost their lives in a car accident a week ago.

The football community was plunged into mourning following the news, with tributes pouring in at Anfield and in Jota's hometown in Portugal.

It is reported that around 100 people gathered at the church door to pay their respects.

Liverpool intends to continue honouring Jota, and Preston are planning a moment of remembrance during the clubs' pre-season friendly!

The Brazilian goalkeeper was in South America on the day Jota was laid to rest.

Alisson shared a heartfelt message on Instagram alongside a photo with his family and Jota's, expressing his sorrow: "Usually, I post things that make sense, but today, nothing makes sense.

I'll remember Diogo as a great friend, father and husband!".
