Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson has left the club’s pre-season tour of Asia.
Alisson was one of 28 players drafted into the Premier League champions’ travelling squad for their friendly double header in Hong Kong and Japan.
The Brazil international featured in last weekend’s defeat to AC Milan but will play no part against Yokohama F.
Marinos after returning home due to a personal matter.
Arne Slot will still be able to call on summer arrivals Giorgi Mamardashvili, Freddie Woodman and Armin Pecsi alongside Kornel Misciur for Wednesday’s fixture..
Alisson becomes the Reds’ third pre-season departure following Joe Gomez’s return through injury and Luis Diaz finalising his transfer to Bayern Munich.
However the 32-year-old is expected to be available for Liverpool’s first session back on home soil when they reconvene at the AXA Training Centre later this week.
Meanwhile Alexis Mac Allister is back in contention after failing to feature since a 2-2 draw with Arsenal at the end of the previous campaign due to a fitness issue.
He said: “It has been a long time, a difficult time because it is never nice to be injured.
“But now I’m feeling good, it’s just about time and getting fit because they have had a good pre-season so they are definitely in a different physical shape, so I have to get used [to it] again.
But it’s nice to be out there.
“It’s hard to explain [the injury] because it’s not just one spot that you say, ‘OK, we have to focus on this.’ It’s like two or three different things that I’ve been struggling [with] for a couple of months.
“At the end, we found the solution; we have been working a lot in the gym, on my structure.
It’s hard to explain it but as I said, now I’m feeling good and for me that’s the most important thing.”
